As a Network Engineer, you will be part of a proactive team that exceeds the expectations of our company employees in terms of network and system availability, security, and enhancement of their daily workload.  This role will be responsible not only for the administration of the network, but will also be pivotal in the architecture of LAN and WAN topology and redundancy for the entire company. 

Breakdown of Responsibilities:

• Network Availability – 50%
• Production Environment Support – 25%
• Network Architecture and Improvement – 25%

 Functions Include: 

• Day-to-day administration of switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networking infrastructure and VPN concentrator
• Wide Area Network monitoring
• AWS network design (VPC, Direct connect)
• Network monitoring configurations and tuning
• Setups and load balancing of Cisco technologies
• Regular maintenance and upkeep of software and system configurations
• On-call emergency break/fix, planned changes to support new releases and monitoring/alerting
• Capacity Planning

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and exceptional problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Previous Experience Preferred:

• Network engineering and monitoring experience
• Network design and architecture with Cisco switches & firewalls, mVPNs and WLAN
• HP Procurve  
• Amazon cloud technologies (VPC, DirectConnect)
• DNS/DHCP
• Experience working with WAN vendors 
• Firewall migration exposure
• WiFi experience a plus
