Who we're looking for...

The Controller’s primary responsibility will be the ownership of accurate and timely financial reporting, supervision of accounting staff, the annual audit, the month-end close, revenue recognition, general accounting duties and reconciliations, and financial analysis. The Controller will utilize their accounting knowledge and management skills to improve individual and department efficiency and effectiveness.

What you will do...

  • Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost analyses, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, revenue recognition, and various special analyses
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets
  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations
  • Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money
  • Monitor cash and funding balances and maintain the cash flow forecast
  • Prepare and organize financial statements for review by the CFO
  • Assist with the quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts
  • Organize information and statements for the external audit and be the liaison with the auditors
  • Assist with defining, benchmarking, and implementing operational best practices
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting
  • Assist CFO with banking relationships including securing and/or maintaining long and short-term financing
  • Various ad hoc projects requested by the CFO

Our ideal candidate will be or have…

  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Current CPA license is required
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience working within audit - highly prefered
  • Experience in a high-growth environment with high transaction volume
  • Team-builder and a leader
  • Critical-thinker, high attention to detail, depth of analysis and ability to communicate accounting results across company departments
  • Strong project management and time management skills are required
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and fully-remote
  • Experience with NetSuite - Preferred
  • B2B SaaS experience - Preferred
  • M&A experience a plus, but not needed

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 annually, plus bonus. Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
