This is a field sales leadership role and will require extensive travel and some work during the evenings and occasional weekends. 

This role is eligible for an annual, uncapped Incentive Compensation of $105,000.00 if sales targets are achieved. 

Reporting into the Vice President of U.S. Sales, the Regional Director Oncology East provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the East Region’s Oncology team. The person in this role is accountable for overall sales performance, the profitable achievement of sales organization goals, and the aligning of sales objectives within the Oncology Region. This role will embody Invitae’s leadership principles and ensure the East Oncology Sales Team is led with awareness, courage, vulnerability, curiosity, ownership, passion, execution and growth mindset.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of Regional Sales leaders, CSLs and Enterprise Solutions reps, providing strategic guidance to the East Oncology team
  • Be accountable for the success of the East sales region, the profitable achievement of sales organization goals, and alignment of sales objectives with firm business strategy
  • Support the sales organization’s leadership team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior
  • Align the sales organization’s objectives across the team, communicating sales strategy and deliverables
  • Provide visionary leadership to the sales organization in support of focus on a common goal and passion for achieving it as a team
  • Lead with the appropriate balance of autonomy and support, empowering the field team to exceed their goals
  • Ensure the effective strategic development and implementation of field team development plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on product launches, marketing campaigns, reimbursement initiatives, and support needs

What you bring: 

  • 5+ years’ experience leading high performing teams within the clinical genetic testing/genomics space is essential
  • At least 5 years experience leading people leaders (managing people-managers and their teams)
  • 10+ years of progressive senior sales experience leading large teams (and managing leaders) and substantial experience building relationships and selling complex, value driven solutions to a variety of healthcare stakeholders including into the C-Suite, across Healthcare Systems and Clinic settings
  • Deep knowledge of the healthcare landscape in the US
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets
  • Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities in highly competitive markets
  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong desire to help others and act as a servant leader
  • Familiarity with the Oncology and/or Cancer Genetic testing landscape within the Eastern U.S. Region is a plus

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
