SendGrid goes public at $16 a share, raising $131M to grow email marketing platform
Yesterday, Colorado tech darling SendGrid made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange with an initial public offering of 8.2 million shares of common stock at $16 apiece. The offering, which is slated to close on November 17, will raise $131 million for the company. Following a year of record growth, Choozle lands $6M Series B funding
On Tuesday, Denver-based adtech company Choozle announced the close of a $6 million Series B funding round led by previous investor Gemini Group. California-based Arrivo unveils plans for Colorado hyperloop and Denver-based test lab
Los-Angeles-based high-speed transportation company Arrivo, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Transportation, announced this week plans to bring its hyperloop technology to the state. The project — known as Rocky Mountain Hyperloop — would create a tube from Cheyenne to Pueblo spanning 360 miles and 10 urban centers. The company also plans to spend up to $15 million constructing a new engineering research center and test track in the Denver metro area next year. [Denver Business Journal]
CA Technologies launches its Freshtracks.io beta program
Colorado-based CA Technologies just launched a beta program for one of its startups, FreshTracks.io, which focuses on improving the experience of monitoring and scaling containerized applications. The startup is one of 10 participants in CA’s software accelerator program, which provides internal innovators with the support and funding they need to develop and test new product ideas in the marketplace.
