Denver-based Mobility Network and Grand Junction’s Sky Peak Technologies have recently announced a working partnership designed to bring optimized video content to mobile virtual network operator customers around the world.
Mobility Network is targeting the cable and fiber industry as an mobile virtual network enabler, while Sky Peak offers an on-device, smart content shaping solution meant to give operators an affordable way to manage streaming video on mobile devices.
With this partnership, Mobility Network and Sky Peak aim to help operators keep up with the increasing burden of delivering streaming video services using cellular bandwidth. Sky Peak’s CORA Mobile Edge solution shapes data-intensive streaming video and right sizes it for the device requesting it, allowing customers to stream using less data. It also frees up the network for other operators.
By joining forces, operators who work with Mobility Network will be able to integrate CORA Mobile Edge into their operations to benefit both subscribers and business operations.
