5 Colorado tech events that'll supercharge your week

Privacy in the Age of Technology, October 20th at 11:30 a.m.

Collecting personal information has never been easier, and everybody from the government to businesses and others have been keen on collecting that data. This panel will discuss the importance of privacy laws, and what can and needs to be done to protect your data. If you can’t make the actual event, it’ll also be streamed live here.

NewTech Longmont, October 20th at 6 p.m.

New Tech is holding their first ever meeting in Longmont. This event will focus on how and why Longmont created their own fiber-optic network. A panel of city planners, network users and other experts will discuss how Longmont’s Gigabit Network became the fastest ISP in the U.S.

Solving App Performance Issues, October 21st at 6 p.m.

This will be New Relic’s first Denver-based user group. The event will include presentations, some guest speakers, and, of course, some networking over food and drink. The event is open to all New Relic users and fans.

Free Yoga Class for Startup Women, October 21st at 5:30 p.m.

It doesn’t get much more Boulder than this: A free Hatha Yoga class put together by the Startup Women Meetup group. The class will be somewhere between a level 1 and level 2 class, so beginners and those with more experience are welcome to attend. Yoga is a great way to clear away the stress of the day, and restart your entrepreneurial engines.

Investigating Data with Python and Pandas, October 24th at 8:15 a.m.

This workshop will teach you how to investigate data, generate reports and produce visualizations that are actually useful. Participants will learn how to use Python and Pandas, both free tools, to make informed decisions with their company’s data.
