Wintertime in Colorado may be all about the après-ski life — but if you step away from the chic ski lodges, you’ll find opportunities of another kind.

While some locals are busy shredding powder during this time of year, others are seeking a different kind of adventure; one that lies in the state’s tech scene. From Westminster to Longmont, cities across the state host some of the industry’s most innovative tech companies, which offer both impactful products and empowering cultures.

These companies include Scythe Robotics, a Longmont-based startup that builds autonomous, all-electric outdoor machinery. Dedicated to providing a more sustainable way to care for natural spaces, the company offers its people high-quality health and wellness benefits, from access to a flexible spending account to mental health benefits.

Another company leaving its mark on the state’s tech landscape is TurboTenant, a Fort Collins-based company offering property management software that helps independent landlords handle tasks like screening tenants and collecting rent. As the company’s employees strive to amplify its impact, they receive support from a culture that encourages a team-focused approach to driving progress.

These two companies, alongside five others from across Colorado, are doing their part to heat up the state’s tech scene this winter, which is why they’ve all earned recognition as one of Built In Colorado’s featured companies of the seaason. Read on to see what opportunities await at each one.
