Boulder startup Nyla emerged from stealth this week with a no-code platform that helps e-commerce brands improve the speed and consistency of their Shopify page.
Nyla raised a $3.3 million seed round in September. While in stealth mode, it worked with big-name e-commerce clients, such as Supergoop!, Jambys and Janessa Leoné.
The company was founded in 2019 by CEO Michael Bower, who noticed the direct-to-consumer e-commerce clients at his web development agency were losing speed and versatility as they added plug-ins and apps to their Shopify site.
Nyla said its front-end platform delivers three times the performance of an average Shopify front-end page that uses Google Lighthouse analytics.
“The results our merchants are seeing are out of this world,” Bower said in a statement. “In an environment like today, every ad dollar counts; that is why we obsess over every millisecond of a page load and are proud to be a driver of revenue for our merchants.”
In addition to faster page loads, the no-code platform offers a visual editor that features design templates used by premium direct-to-consumer brands. The platform’s unified design system allows companies to keep their entire site on brand, according to Nyla.
