As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. 

 

Who You Are and What You’ll Do 

As a Data Analyst at Bishop Fox, you'll  dive deep into our consulting services engagements, internal performance metrics, and delivery operations.  Your analytical prowess is matched only by your creativity, allowing you to transform complex datasets into compelling narratives. Collaborating across departments, you ensure that every decision is backed by solid evidence. Your proficiency with tools like Microsoft Power BI and Certinia CRM Analytics makes you the go-to person for data visualization, turning numbers into actionable insights. 

Your  responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to penetration testing engagements, red team exercises, vulnerability assessments, and other services.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different teams (e.g., Delivery teams, finance, management, sales, marketing) to understand their data needs and translate them into effective reporting solutions.  
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.  
  • Perform data cleaning and validation to identify and correct inconsistencies and errors.  
  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to answer specific business questions and provide data-driven insights.  
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.  
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures.  
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data analysis, visualization, and cyber security.  
  • Develop a structured approach to prioritizing data requests, ensuring key business objectives and service delivery needs are met effectively.  
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine utilization metrics (e.g., forward utilization, productive utilization, capacity utilization) and provide insights to improve resource planning and operational efficiency.  
  • Develop a data-driven point of view on demand versus capacity, leveraging historical trends and forecasting models to provide actionable insights that support resource planning and business growth.    


Your Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics) or equivalent experience.  
  • Proven experience (3-5 years preferred) as a Data Analyst, with a strong focus on data visualization and reporting.  
  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment, with an understanding of key operational metrics such as utilization, capacity, and demand planning. 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and report development. Demonstrable experience building complex and interactive dashboards.  
  • Proficiency in Certinia CRM Analytics, including report creation, data analysis, and understanding of the Certinia data structure.  
  • Strong experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, with expertise in analyzing historical data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.  
  • Skilled in leveraging historical data for forecasting future trends and outcomes, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Ability to balance strategic data initiatives with ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring alignment with business priorities. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
