WHO WE NEED:
We are looking for a Director, Education Services at HCSS who is responsible for leading the development and execution of HCSS's customer education and training events. This role orchestrates the development of educational content, delivery methods, and platforms, coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of academic programs, and manages a team of instructional designers, event coordinators, and systems personnel. The ideal candidate should have a strong education and training services background, proficiency in efficient learning content delivery methods, strategic thinking and project execution, leadership and people management skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer experience.
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in educational services and program management roles
  • At least 4 years of experience specifically in adult education or corporate training
  • Demonstrated expertise in on-demand learning content creation and delivery
  • Experience managing learning management systems and educational technology platforms


Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Expertise in multimedia content development for different learning modalities
  • Knowledge of content consumption analytics and optimization techniques
  • Experience with learning experience platforms (LXPs) and content management systems
  • Familiarity with educational video production and interactive content creation
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale educational events
  • Experience developing blended learning programs (combining synchronous and asynchronous elements)


Leadership & Communication

  • Proven experience in people management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop compelling content, present effectively, and craft persuasive proposals
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership & Program Management

  • Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and initiatives for our customer education and training services
  • Understand and maximize the ROI of instructor-led workshops and live classroom training that utilize a mix of internal and external SMEs (Subject Matter Experts)
  • Design and implement comprehensive analytics frameworks to measure learning impact, including course completion rates, knowledge retention metrics, customer adoption rates post-training, and correlations between education participation and product usage
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in educational technology and adult learning


Educational Content & Delivery

  • Oversee the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of our learning technology systems as the primary delivery channel for educational content
  • Develop a digital-first content strategy with comprehensive learning paths that incorporate live virtual training where it provides maximum value
  • Drive the creation of engaging, multimedia content optimized for digital consumption, including microlearning modules, video tutorials, simulations, and interactive assessments
  • Implement data-driven content personalization and optimization strategies based on user role, learning patterns, progress metrics, and consumption analytics
  • Establish rigorous content development standards and quality assurance processes specifically designed for effective digital learning experiences
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on support for learning themes and content created and delivered by the 150+ subject matter experts at our annual Users Group Meeting
  • Ensure the design of educational programming that showcases best practices, new features, and industry trends while creating valuable networking opportunities for the 2k+ construction professionals that attend
  • Evaluate UGM session effectiveness to inform continuous improvement of the educational experience


University & External Programs

  • Oversee and expand our University Program, integrating our software into academic curricula
  • Manage software distribution to educational institutions
  • Foster partnerships with universities to enhance student learning in the construction industry
  • Collaborate with academic institutions and faculty to develop tailored curricula
  • Provide ongoing training and support to academic partners


Team Leadership

  • Manage a team of instructional designers, event coordinators, and systems personnel
  • Create and maintain a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Ensure high quality of service, customer satisfaction, and adherence to key metrics


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to align education strategy with business objectives
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and industry thought leaders
  • Collaborate on customer retention and adoption initiatives
