Role Description

As part of Dropbox’s Marketing Operations & Technology team, the Email Marketing Operations Manager will support the use and management of our email marketing platform (Iterable), including building and testing complex email journeys, monitoring the performance and deliverability of ongoing email campaigns and experiments, managing the warm up of new sending domains and IP addresses, and ensuring adherence of list suppression rules.

They will demonstrate a high level of technical email experience with ESP platforms, be highly motivated to improve and maintain strong deliverability of all Dropbox email marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

Campaign Execution: 

  • Support the execution and promote continuous improvements of email campaigns in Dropbox's ESP platform (Iterable)
  • Oversee and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times. Analyze results to continuously improve email performance and conversion rates.

Email deliverability

  • Monitor the inbox placement for all email campaigns and experiments on an ongoing basis, highlighting trends and potential needs for optimization.
  • Implement seed lists for highly critical email campaigns.
  • Continually assess performance of dedicated IP addresses and email sending domain configurations, using both internal and external monitoring tools.
  • Warm new dedicated IP addresses and email sending domains to mitigate any deliverability gaps and in support of channel expansion.

Compliance: 

  • Ensure all email campaigns comply with email marketing regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other data privacy laws. Maintain best practices for email deliverability, list hygiene, and privacy standards.

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Stay current on email marketing trends, tools, and best practices. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies to enhance email performance and deliverability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate and advise on optimization opportunities within campaign build structures, audience targeting and email best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in email marketing, with hands-on experience using enterprise ESP platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of email design, segmentation, and automation best practices.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, campaign optimization, and lead nurturing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability best practices and troubleshooting. Experience monitoring email deliverability performance, sending domain configurations and seed listing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A keen eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience using Customer Data Platforms( ex: Segment, Hightouch)
