The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Total Rewards to join our People Xcellence team. The Manager will be responsible for leading a team to design, implement, and manage our total rewards programs, ensuring they align with the GHX’s strategic objectives and support employee engagement and retention. This role requires a deep understanding of compensation, benefits, and HR technology, as well as the ability to analyze market trends and data to ensure our programs remain competitive and compliant. The ideal candidate will possess strong process and project management skillset in all areas of Total Rewards, including building strong relationships with the global team and company leaders. Global Compensation Administration & Management | 50%

  • Manages base pay and variable pay compensation program design, analysis and administration for global countries.
  • Reviews the company’s compensation levels relative to GHX’s identified market, developing and recommending changes to the salary structure,
  • Serves as lead for conducting job evaluations and communicating results for global countries.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for U.S. based positions.
  • Responsible for the planning, design, administration and implementation of the annual and semi-annual compensation salary planning process; including working with Finance to achieve budget expectations.
  • Partners with HRBP and business leaders on designing and pricing any organizational structure changes.
  • Manages the external compensation survey process and survey subscriptions.

Benefits Management | 20%

  • Communicates benefit, retirement and wellness programs, ensures statutory compliance; stays abreast of upcoming legislation and communicates necessary changes accordingly; assists in oversight of corporate wellness program
  • Works closely with the Total Rewards team to oversee administration of annual filings, audits, leave of absence programs and employee support.
  • Partners closely with outside Benefits Consultant/Broker to manage employee benefits programs such as medical, dental and vision; term life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and accidental death policies.
  • Develops specifications for new plans or modifies existing plans to ensure a benefit package that is meaningful and competitive

Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) Management | 30%

  • Responsible for global administration, design, end user experience, reporting and analytics for entire people technology stack including HRIS system, ATS, and engagement platforms
  • Ensures best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within entire people technology stack to support system users.
  • Oversees compliance with global, federal, state and local data protection regulations such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Partners closely with the total rewards team to ensure administration of compensation programs, performance reviews, benefits and open enrollment, payroll and reporting efforts, among others
  • Participates in and leads special projects or other duties as needed.

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Compensation Administration, Benefits and/or HR technology, preferably in a global environment
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated experience in Process and Project Management.
  • Familiar with global, federal, state and local data protection regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Excellent communications skills, cross-functional collaboration skills, strong planning and project management skills, and be able to work well with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); to include advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot-Tables, VLOOKUP’s, MACROs, etc.) required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow up skills able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
  • Ability to contribute different thoughts, ideas and viewpoints that lead to greater innovation on projects and cross-functional collaborative efforts.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop, implement and communicate human resource programs to various audiences.
  • Willingness to travel once per quarter.


Estimated salary range: $109,700 - $146,200

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include: health, vision, and dental insurance, accident and life insurance, 401k matching, paid-time off, and education reimbursement, to name a few.
