M&E Frontend Product Manager

Following our acquisition by CoreWeave in 2023, we’re looking for an experienced Frontend Product Manager to join us in expanding what is becoming an indispensable part of the filmmaking toolset! Our ideal candidate has a mix of enterprise technology management, software development, and VFX or Animation industry experience. You’ll have a passion for building amazing products that delight technology decision-makers, render wranglers and artists alike, playing a key role in helping define the product strategy, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional user experiences.
We need you to manage the front-end development team and lead, define, and evolve product requirements, correlate them with user workflows, and guide the team through key milestones. As Frontend Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and guiding a successful front-end development team, while identifying and tracking key performance indicators, including QA and support goals while implementing development processes that’ll support product growth. Ultimately, you’ll be a key player in giving the industry a great excuse to move their demanding and expensive workflows into the cloud.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide strategic leadership to development efforts, utilizing M&E expertise to guide the development of new cloud-based workflows leveraging developing AI and traditional industry toolsets to support the overall product direction of the platform
- Expand and enhance technical offerings and/or cloud-based business growth and analyze the cost/benefit of feature selection.
- Partner with internal and customers to capture feedback, evaluate and prioritize improvements, and ensure features meet industry needs and business directives.
- Maintenance and expansion of our existing DCC integrations
- Determine team assignments based on skill sets, priorities, and project demands. Ensure that developers are held accountable for the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Definition, monitoring of the platform’s function
- Gather feature requirements and go-to-market planning and alignment
- Create tools to support the success of the sales team and help identify opportunities to increase that success
- Lead a product development team in which you motivate and achieve steady improvements in your area
- Define and implement any necessary emerging technologies and open-source initiatives
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Proven experience managing a team of developers to deliver high-quality products
- A background working with products for post-production and media customers and an understanding of production workflows
- Enthusiastic team player happy to wear many hats and excited about participating in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment
- Proven experience building complex, user-focused products and a passion for creating amazing user experiences
- Excellent analytical skills to break down and solve complex problems
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, promoting teamwork and understanding between different types of workers and thinkers
- Experience with iterative and incremental development
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent business judgment
- Excellent organizational skills while managing multiple ongoing projects
- Proficient in Python, Git
- Exposure to media authoring and rendering tools such as Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Katana, V-Ray, Arnold, Redshift, Renderman, and Unreal Engine
Nice-to-haves:
- You have the technical skillset to talk shop and work closely with our engineers
- Experience in design and implementation of complex SaaS/PaaS systems
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $200,000 - $235,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
