The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects.
As a member of the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department, you will directly contribute to technical capabilities that support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, kill chain effectiveness, and enterprise architecture resiliency. We support a variety of customers with diverse program portfolios, and we are looking for curious and innovative teammates to help us address our customers' hardest problems!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Advancing our software solutions for modeling and simulation applications
  • Leveraging modern tech stack and enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability
  • Assisting in converting programmatic requirements into actionable work


What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited program in computer science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field
  • Three or more years of experience in modern software development using a systems software language
  • Proficiency in C++, preferably in C++20
  • Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C++
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in modeling and simulation
  • Experience in at least one of the following: optics, beam control, filtering, multi-in tracking, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and address them with initiative


How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Experience with CUDA and GPUs
  • Experience in databases, database integration, and SQL
  • Experience with desktop frontend, preferably in C#/Unity, and manipulating telemetry into data analytics
  • Familiarity with software-in-the-loop (SIL) / hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)


We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
