The Paralegal I will provide paralegal support to the Securities, Corporate Governance & Finance group. The focus will be on handling a broad array of corporate governance, and entity management matters.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to learn and develop the skills necessary to assist the attorneys and other members of the JLD Lane
  • Able to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external parties 
  • Able to use a variety of basic programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of entity management systems such as those offered by Corporation Services Company (CSC) or Wolters Kluwer (CT Corporation), as well as Microsoft SharePoint, would be a plus
  • Knowledge of the matters covered below under “Core Job Duties”

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's Degree required
  • Paralegal Certificate from ABA-accredited program preferred

CORE JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist with subsidiaries management, including:
    • Corporate entity formation, qualifications to do business, withdrawals, dissolutions, mergers, conversions, and legal name changes
    • Prepare subsidiary resolutions, minutes, stock and other certificates and corporate documents
    • Maintain minute books and other corporate records, and maintain electronic database of corporate information for more than 1,400 subsidiaries
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time depending on need

Salary/ Wage Range

$24.71 - $36.30 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
