Calendly is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Senior Analytics Engineer to lead data initiatives for our Go-To-Market (GTM) function. You’ll own the GTM data ecosystem, driving high-impact customer engagement and revenue initiatives. In this highly dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, CX, Ops, and Analytics teams to shape and optimize our GTM strategy. As part of the centralized Analytics Engineering team, you’ll report to the Engineering Manager of Data & Analytics while focusing on enabling growth through data-informed insights.

A day in the life of a Sr. Analytics Engineer, GTM at Calendly

In this role, you will architect and operationalize the data foundation for lifecycle marketing including sales intelligence, website experimentation, and demand generation. This role will ensure and enable seamless integration across systems like Salesforce, Braze, Segment, and paid ad platforms. You will be leveraging tools like Hightouch and dbt to create and maintain data assets in an enterprise-grade data warehouse to support operational and analytical use-cases for your stakeholders. 

On a typical day, you will be working on: 

  • GTM Data Strategy & Enablement: Design scalable queries and data syncs to provide customer traits, event data, and insights for GTM teams
  • Lifecycle & State-Based Modeling: Build customer journey models to drive lead prioritization, retention strategies, and precision targeting
  • Website Experimentation & A/B Testing: Support web, CX, and content teams in implementing and analyzing experiments, personalization, and conversion optimizations
  • Data Integrity & Anomaly Detection: Drive adoption of Monte Carlo for GTM data monitoring and issue resolution, ensuring high trust in insights
  • Real-time Data Activation: Ensure timely and reliable data availability across Salesforce, Braze, Segment, and paid media platforms
  • Best Practices & Scalability: Establish data governance and analytics engineering (AE) best practices, aligning with the core data platform and Analytics teams
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, CX, Ops, and Analytics teams to ensure data is leveraged effectively for business decisions

What do we need from you?

  • 5+ years of experience working with a SaaS company, partnering with the GTM domain, and building data products in a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, etc.)
  • Expert SQL skills with strong attention to data accuracy and integrity (R or Python is a plus)
  • Experience owning a dbt project with engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, data quality checks, reusable building blocks, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Segment for web event tracking and customer data integration
  • Experience with version control systems like Github, Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc (bonus for CI/CD pipeline management)
  • Proficiency in data modeling to meet business and GTM needs for today, and beyond
  • Ability to diagnose data issues proactively and build trust in data across GTM teams
  • Experience with website experimentation (A/B testing, personalization, CRO analysis)
  • Experience with Salesforce, Braze, and paid ad platforms, ensuring seamless GTM data flow
  • Experience implementing and driving adoption of data quality tools, like Monte Carlo, or similar anomaly detection tool
  • Strong growth mindset—you understand how data drives revenue, acquisition, and retention
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2

$158,950$215,050 USD

$144,500$195,500 USD
