Ameresco has an immediate opening for Senior Energy Engineer to support the Asset Sustainability Group (ASG).
Ameresco Asset Sustainability Group (ASG) provides best in class asset management software and consulting services to our customers throughout North America. These customers include Schools, Higher Education, Public Housing, Municipalities, State & Federal Agencies, Commercial and Industrial real asset portfolios. Utilizing our propriety AssetPlanner® software suite, with modules and applications covering Capital Planning, Maintenance Management, Energy Management, Carbon Management and more, ASG is well-positioned to advise, enable, and support Ameresco customers to make better decisions around capital funding appropriation, reducing operating costs, and building towards a more sustainable future.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage onboarding of new sites, including leading discovery workshops, supervising configuration and commissioning of hardware and software platforms, and training users.
- Develop and implement MBCx programs tailored to meet customers energy, maintenance and decarbonization goals.
- Support performance monitoring of distributed energy resources, including portfolio level performance analysis.
- Identify performance issues and optimization opportunities, calculate the energy impact, and work with customers to estimate the cost to implement recommendations.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops at regular intervals to report on results achieved and current opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation of tools and platforms collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Support business development activities including proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 7 years experience performing energy analysis and retro-commissioning of existing building HVAC systems and central plants.
- Demonstrated proficiency using MS Excel and Python for data analysis is required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with fault detection, machine learning and statistical modeling techniques desirable.
