The Senior Event Strategist is an individual contributor on the global events team responsible for the development and deployment of marquee in-person and virtual initiatives and events, such as our annual user conference, incentive events, internal kickoffs, or other events based on business need.
What You'll Do

  • Plan, manage, and execute large, complex Workiva events from start to finish, maximizing business impact and creating memorable experiences for attendees
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Events Lead to set goals and objectives aligned with the company's growth strategy
  • Lead and participate in various workstreams, such as operations, technology, expo, or communications
  • Play a critical role on the Global Events Team, ensuring flawless execution of large-scale and solution-driven events. Decisions made will have significant impacts on broader business activities
  • Oversee vendor management and communicate effectively with senior leadership to drive change
  • Manage multiple in-person and virtual events simultaneously, ensuring each is successfully completed under tight deadlines on a global scale
  • Event Operations Center of Excellence: facilitates daily communication with external partners, sharing best practices internally, and ensuring brand consistency, event value, and return on investment (ROI) across all events


What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with in-person and virtual event marketing or closely related field


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a SaaS B2B marketing environment preferred
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects through all stages, from conception and budgeting, through implementation and wrap-up
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven success in building strong partnerships and relationships with key internal business partners across the organization and globally
  • Strong initiative, exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Solid understanding of multinational events and culture, including EMEA and APAC
  • Experience working with a geographically distributed team and with global events preferred
  • Experience in customer, prospect, and external partner events preferred


Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • 30% travel for events and planning
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office


How You'll Be Rewarded
• Salary range in the US: $79,000.00 - $134,000.00• A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
• Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
• 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
