Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Manage division of our product. Manage is a team under the Organize pillar of our product team. Organize is the core of the Wistia platform, enabling customers to access, manage, and collaborate on their content.

Think of how Google Drive helps their users manage various parts of their offering effectively; helping customers manage their content and team effectively while also connecting them to all of the other value across Wistia.

Today, our Organize offering includes the core of media management, folder management, search, user management, permissions and more. This is a critical part of our customer experience, so whomever is in this role will have a huge impact on Wistia.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated engineering and design partners, in addition to collaborating with go-to-market to ensure we’re building products that drive our desired outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a world-class product offering that delivers customer and business value
    • Help define our Organize product strategy by influencing it, leading the execution, mapping opportunities to business objectives, and reflecting real customer needs.
    • Lead a dedicated team of engineers and designers to deliver customer value at a rapid pace
    • Set the strategic focus for Manage, craft roadmaps that help us take steps in that direction, and gather insights  that help us pivot when needed.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and new opportunities.
    • Define, track, and reflect on product metrics to measure the success of our products and if we’re impacting our desired outcomes.
    • Ensure our Organize products fit seamlessly with the rest of the Wistia platform and support other teams ability to build a seamless product.
    • Support your engineering and design counterparts to drive overall team performance.
    • As our product org grows, there could be opportunities to lead additional teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers to maximize impact
    • Partner deeply and often with engineering and design across the entire product lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with partners on go-to-market, especially Product Marketing, to ensure we’re addressing the full needs of the business, aligning with stakeholders, and properly communicating our new products to customers.
  • Product Leadership
    • Act as the face of the Manage team. Communicate where this product is today, where it’s headed, and why. Get the team excited about our plans.
    • Work with other leaders in Product, Design, and Engineering to fold in Wistia cultural values.
    • Help identify opportunities and inform the product strategy

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Experience building UX-forward B2B SaaS products
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Has a track record of developing product strategies and product visions
  • Has strong product instincts, and is able to therefore be decisive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Strong understanding of technology and software development processes.
  • Experience conducting market research and analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands.

Working at Wistia

We try to ensure that Wistia is an inclusive and diverse place where everyone feels happy, fulfilled, respected, comfortable, and welcome. We're proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We care a lot, so our benefits are actually benefits, not just the fun stuff like swag and snacks in the office (though we also have lots of those too!).

We know the biggest investment we can make is in our employees, so we provide:

  • A competitive compensation package that includes internal equity stock options
  • 401k with 3% company contribution, regardless of whether you contribute (Roth 401k available)
  • Fully paid healthcare, dental, and vision insurance (family plans included)
  • Pre-Tax FSA and Dependent Care Account
  • Flexible working hours – work at the times when you operate best, or set aside time for child and/or elderly care responsibilities during traditional “office hours”
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave for all new and expecting parents
  • Flexible PTO (pretty common for people to take 4+ weeks off throughout the year)
  • Remote-first culture (work from anywhere in the U.S.)
  • Annual professional development stipend (courses, conferences, and more)
  • New hire bonus to enhance your home office set up
  • Pet insurance discount
