Job Description

We are seeking a Software Product Launch Manager to join our Product Management team and help drive the successful execution and measurement of our strategic initiatives. Your mission will be to enable the product teams to operate as effectively as possible by building a foundation of excellence through metrics, infrastructure, product processes, and best practices. Curious what a day in the life of Project Manager will be like? On any day you may be leading a product release cross-functional team meeting, setting up projects in Smartsheet, providing weekly project status updates, enabling Product Managers with project management tools/best practices, and gaining sign-off for product launches. This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of responsibilities and projects.

As part of our Product Management team, the Software Product Launch Manager role is responsible for the successful execution of product and program launches, including changes to business processes, systems, and technologies, with an emphasis on cross-functional organizational readiness and enablement. You'll bring teams together and align them to a common goal, ensuring all activities and tasks are aligned and delivered to meet specific program outcomes. You will be instrumental in aligning cross-functional teams and ensuring the organization is ready and prepared when products are launched.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a combination of software product knowledge, operational knowledge, stakeholder consultation, user experience, and project management skills. You must also be a strong people influencer and driver for a shared future vision, collaborating and guiding the work of teams of product managers, professional services, project teams, and implementation teams to ensure a successful launch occurs for our customers. You will report into the Director of Product Operations. This is a remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Launch Leadership: Lead various product-lead projects including strategic initiatives and product releases. Simultaneously manage multiple large-scale projects with deliverables and interdependencies involving remote product development teams. Track project deliverables and schedules, with a strong focus on progress measurement, analysis, and reporting.
  • Readiness Project Management: Work across organizational boundaries to ensure that all go-to-market goals and critical milestones are met.
  • Operational Readiness: Drive operational readiness to ensure that products can be properly marketed, sold, contracted, trained, billed, supported, and analyzed for utilization. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders around key 'Business as usual' activities.
  • Defining Success: Works with Product Management, Engineering, Business Leadership, Product Marketing and Operational Partners to ensure success of product launches can be measured. Establish / strengthen proper internal controls to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Drives processes that elevate our go-to-marketing planning and ensuring operational readiness.
  • Program Management: Develop program management strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, tracking KPI metrics, and end-user training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years' experience working in a software company
  • Superior organization, project management and time management skills
  • A customer-centric mindset, results oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage expectations and establish a solid working relationship with all levels in the company including senior management and executives
  • Cross-functional leadership – lead and drive project execution across Product Management, Finance, Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success
  • Experience in project management. PMP or similar certification a plus
  • Knowledge with software apps to include Salesforce, smartsheets, Aha!, etc.
  • Proven experience in operational and change management
  • Passionate about developing best practices, principles, concepts, and technologies
  • You have a bias for action – you make things happen and hold yourself accountable to achieve desired results.
  • Drive and grit – operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus and determination to achieve
