Description

With Verily Workbench, we aim to enable the next generation of collaborative biomedical research by building an open platform that connects researchers to each other and to the datasets and tools they need to achieve scientific breakthroughs. Our offering transforms biomedical research by making the world’s most scientifically valuable data discoverable, accessible, and analyzable. You’ll play a critical role in helping life science companies use Verily Workbench to accelerate their research and discoveries.

As a Solution Specialist for Verily Workbench, you will be responsible for managing the sales process to bring the solution to existing and new life sciences customers. This will include understanding customer needs, acting as a trusted advisor to map our solution to those needs, educating customer stakeholders, driving pricing and contracting, and ensuring that the implementation team is set up for success. You will work cross functionally within the Life Science and Medtech Commercial team and with colleagues across Verily. This role will require you to be flexible and nimble and aggressively grow the business to help establish Verily as the premier solution partner in the space.

This will be a remote based role with expected travel. Ideally, this individual resides in the NY tri-state area or Boston.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Understand and communicate the value of Verily Workbench, including connecting it to customer needs and environments.
  • Lead strategic sales processes from lead generation to close, including presenting value propositions, identifying and addressing customer needs, negotiating business terms and executing contracts.
  • Gather and share valuable feedback from customers and partners on pricing, market challenges, innovation and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate across the Verily organization to achieve personal goals, team objectives and company milestones.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related fields.
  • Experience selling complex solutions to biopharma companies, with a deep understanding of their data-intensive research needs. 
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Enterprise sales focused on research data platforms, SaaS, and/or scientific software.
  • Proven ability to work with complex technical software and service offerings, and with complex sales cycles involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Highly consultative, hands on and collaborative.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and respond quickly to changes and a dynamic environment.
  • Experience selling cloud-based software solutions.
  • Comfortable working with, and bridging between, domain experts and technical experts 
  • A positive attitude, open mind, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to collaborate and learn.
  • Connection to Verily’s corporate purpose … to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Google suite of productivity applications (gMail, gCalendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
