Our company leverages industry-specific platforms like IMS for policy management and Surefyre for online operations, both of which rely on Excel-based logic for rating and underwriting. We are seeking a Digital Enablement Engineer to drive innovation by enhancing these platforms, automating processes, and delivering tailored solutions that empower teams and improve operational efficiency.
Your Impact:
- Platform Enhancement: Design, implement, and optimize solutions within IMS and Surefyre, leveraging Excel-based logic for underwriting and rating processes.
- Workflow Automation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automate workflows using low-code/no-code tools and other technologies.
- Integration Development: Create integrations between IMS, Surefyre, and other systems, ensuring seamless data exchange through APIs and other tools.
- Excel Logic Management: Develop, test, and maintain complex Excel logic for rating and underwriting processes, ensuring alignment with business rules.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with underwriting, operations, and IT teams to identify needs, gather requirements, and deliver effective digital solutions.
- Testing and Deployment: Validate solutions through rigorous testing to ensure accuracy, reliability, and user satisfaction.
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed documentation for processes and solutions, and provide training to end-users for smooth adoption.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor solution performance and implement improvements to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Successful Candidate will Have:
- Experience: 3+ years in a similar role, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Excel Expertise: Advanced skills in Excel, including formulas, macros, and VBA scripting for implementing complex logic.
- Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with IMS and Surefyre platforms is desirable.
- Low-Code Skills: Experience with tools like Microsoft Power Platform, AppSheet, or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Integration Expertise: Experience with APIs, webhooks, and integration tools such as Zapier or Power Automate.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills for translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance industry, particularly with policy management and underwriting systems.
- Familiarity with database systems and SQL.
- Certifications in low-code platforms or automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps).
