Salary: $220,000-250,000

This role is responsible for implementing and managing York’s approach and process for changes to customer-facing contracts to achieve program outcomes that meet the needs of York Space Systems’ valuable clients. You will maintain a professional working relationship with key program management, contracts management, strategic supply chain, and cross-divisional partners. You will gain detailed knowledge of York’s programs, capabilities, practices, and processes to support providing our clients with top-notch service with a personal touch. This role reports to the EVP/GM.
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to gain detailed knowledge of York’s customer-facing contracts and major subcontracts with key strategic suppliers, to include scope, performance period, delivery milestones and achievement criteria, and terms and conditions.
- You will understand York’s capabilities, products and services and effectively communicate about these products and services to the client to assist in program expansion to meet the client's evolving needs.
- Support the Program Management team in reviewing Customer requests for information, contract modifications, and change proposals. When required, activate York’s Contract Change Board process, including training Program Managers on Board expectations, documenting Board outcomes, and ensuring timely implementation of Board decisions.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop contract change proposals to obtain the best possible contractual arrangement without compromising business objectives. Ensure proper coordination with Programs, SV Engineering, SW Engineering, Supply Chain/Production, Chief Technology Office, and Finance executives
- Support negotiations with customers to achieve the best position for the company with regards to all aspects: scope, price, schedules, terms, payments, etc.
- Support the Strategic Supply Chain team in negotiations with subcontractors to achieve the best position for the company with regards to all aspects: scope, price, schedules, terms, payments, etc.
- Conduct pre and post contract mod award reviews with internal stakeholders to ensure the contractual obligations and milestone achievement criteria are known, understood, and properly addressed.
- Once executed, place and maintain accurate and up-to-date contracts records in York’s contracts management tool.
- Ensure customer issues are handled in an efficient manner geared toward the continued satisfaction and success of York’s clients by anticipating client needs, working internally to ensure deadlines for client deliverables are met, and helping clients meet program goals.
- This role may also involve actively overseeing and executing one or more programs or major initiatives, to ensure successful delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's Degree or PMP preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of client-facing and/or federal government & Commercial contracting or program management experience
- Ability to analyze contracts, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
- Work independently as a self-starter committed to delivering the highest customer service, quality, and results.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills especially presentations and business correspondence.
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance required. Current Active Security Clearance highly desired.
Work Environment:
- This role may require occasional travel.
