A lot about you

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Senior Product Manager to drive the growth and engagement of our Yahoo Games products. In this role, you will collaborate on product strategy and work closely with analytics, engineering, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to create and promote new games and features.

You will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing new games, platform features (e.g. Streaks, Leaderboards, etc.) with both internal and external teams.  Using data-driven insights, you will analyze game and feature performance, making recommendations to optimize engagement, retention, and monetization.

Additionally, you will partner with teams across the company to enhance game discovery and drive awareness of our gaming services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of game development, live operations, player behavior, and market trends to ensure the success of our gaming portfolio.

Your day at Yahoo

  • Developing a product strategy and roadmap for our games portfolio, regularly evolving it to ensure it aligns with company goals and objectives.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand content strategy and aligning game offerings with audience preferences, engagement metrics and new content surfaces.

  • Partnering external game developers to ensure a quality user experience and ideate on new features and initiatives to improve engagement and retention. 

  • Identifying opportunities to surface games throughout the broader Yahoo ecosystem, using personalization to improve CTR on ecosystem entry points to games. 

  • Advocating for the user, through a crisp understanding of customer interactions, user feedback, competitive analyses, market research and experimentation. 

  • Build dashboards to track gameplay engagement metrics, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement

  • Working closely with design and engineering to define and prioritize feature requirements; evaluate trade-offs and technical constraints; and consistently deliver timely, high-quality solutions

  • Leading an agile scrum team to deliver value for customers quickly while iterating towards the long-term vision.

  • Staying updated with game industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in games and media product management.

You must have

  • 4+ years as a Product Manager, with a focus on consumer experiences

  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, content consumption trends, and audience engagement in the digital media landscape.

  • Experience in successfully leading product development initiatives from ideation to launch, demonstrating the ability to drive cross-functional teams and deliver exceptional results.

  • Experience managing external stakeholder groups and partners. 

  • Experience in games is preferred, but passion for games is a requirement.

  • Experience delivering high-impact products using a deep knowledge of product management methodologies, including user-centered design, agile/scrum development, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Familiarity with international data privacy regulations is a plus.

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and strong core values (honesty, integrity, creativity)

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience in A/B testing, data analysis, and using analytics tools to derive actionable insight and make informed decisions

  • Experience delivering products using Agile / Scrum software development & Engineering practices

The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
