The ideal candidate is strategic, data-driven, creative, and business savvy. They have the drive and ability to contribute to the process of discovering what will delight our clients and a proven interest in driving both back-end technical and front-end user experience projects with deep customer empathy.

The Trade Desk Product Team hires courageous, passionate PMs who set big goals and execute on them. We help you grow and challenge you with hard, meaningful work. We celebrate our successes and learn from our failures together. We value and develop strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on ambitious and often ambiguous projects that promise to extend our lead in the industry.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Trade Desk is dedicated to the mission of supporting and growing the Open Internet. In this role, you will play a key part in helping shape the future vision for omnichannel advertising at The Trade Desk.

You will own the vision, roadmap and execution for various products. This can include working on UI/UX experiences, API experiences, data science models, data engineering pipelines and more. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in other organizations, while also displaying the ability to "show up senior" in frequent executive forums. You will work with stakeholders across our UX/UI, Data Partnerships, Data Science, and Engineering Teams helping think through trade-offs in workflow implementations, visualizations, model approaches, and customer impact. You will also need to build a deep customer relationship with our agency, brand, and publisher partners to make products a success.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience where you demonstrated a sustained track record of making significant contributions to impactful projects.
  • Significant Product Management experience across diverse marketing channels and how they work together to drive performance both through UX and backend optimizations
  • A strong understanding of key buyer activities such as planning, activation and measurement.
  • Product Management experience within AdTech, including proficiency in AdTech auctions and a thorough understanding of DSPs, DMPs, CDPs, and Data Activation platforms.
  • A sustained track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects.
  • You have built complex products that take years of iterations to become great.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills both in large and small groups.
  • Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills both in large and small groups.
  • Entrepreneur -- you have a strong bias for action and use compelling, data-based arguments to convince others and generate progress with meaningful results.
  • Durability and grit - sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations while dependencies solidify. You try many different approaches to the right answer.
  • Ability to write detailed specifications and vision documents that clearly articulate the ‘why’ behind the problem.
  • Strong interest in what computing can do -- a passion for technology and how to apply that to problems of massive scale.
  • Passion -- your work matters. Your features matter. You care and give your all.
  • Collaborative -- the best PMs are not necessarily those with the best ideas, but those that ensure the right thing gets done.
  • Selfless -- product management is about making sure the best work gets done by the team, and making sure they share in the credit.
  • Empathy -- as a product manager you are the voice of the customer and need to represent them from a position of deep understanding.
