Strategic Partnership Manager

The Strategic Partnership Manager position helps the company to manage strategic partnerships and identify new areas of business to develop with them, developing and implementing business plans with various partners to increase revenue. This position creates synergies between Skillsoft and the partner and enables the partnership to have the same objectives. The partnership manager leads the efforts to keep everyone in the partnership happy and oriented towards the same goal.

Overview:

About the Team:

Each strategic alliance manager will manage several strategic partners within a specific region and the main objective and the way to measure it will be to grow partner revenue in the region along with other specific Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

As a Strategic Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maximizing the success of the partnership performance and tracking and communicating the progress of the overall partnership in the region. Key functions of the position include regional implementation and execution of the partnership governance model, and establishing, communicating, and leading regional strategy and business planning, including driving opportunity creation, revenue expansion, cross-functional alignment and GTM execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and develop commercial and strategic relationships with the partners assigned
  • Create and implement joint programs with strategic Partners that jointly benefit Skillsoft and partner
  • Extend and promote Percipio© as a tool lever to transform companies (partners and customers) within strategic partners
  • Build and nurture relationships with the partner’s sales, marketing, and product management teams to further our mutual business objectives
  • Collaborate with other teams internal to the organization to ensure that Alliance and Partnership goals are synchronized with organizational goals
  • Negotiate and finalize deals with strategic partners and alliances that benefit the company
  • Responsible for attending strategic partner trade and networking events in the region assigned and develop new one with them to creating new relationships, routes to market and getting knowledge about products and solutions
  • Strategize newer ways to grow current partnerships, as well as encourage and supervise any collaborations with strategic partners
  • Work as a liaison with the sales and marketing team to understand better how to expand Skillsoft products within the partners
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with the strategics partners assigned; conduct relevant follow-up to sustain ally engagement
  • Knowing in detail the products, training programs, academies, training itineraries, corporate digital solutions, and certifications of each strategic partner as well as all those related to Skillsoft and associated companies.
  • Attend weekly strategy meetings to report on the business status of each assigned strategic partner, the different growth initiatives carried out, relevant marketing or sales actions and any information of interest related to the partner
  • Ensure training strategies and plans with partner are aligned for growth for successfully delivering on the market opportunity.
  • Drive quarterly business reviews with region and global sponsors to track progress on aligned GTM focus areas / work streams and other interactions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the partners’ key industries, including trends, business processes, financial measurements and performance indicators, and key competitors
  • Deliver accurate weekly and quarterly forecasts as well as establish and own business development relationships
  • Provide joint account mapping & engage global sales teams
  • Build connections beyond training partner group and enable to sell, sell thru, sell with sales plays
  • Understand and drive subsidy programs
  • Deliver product growth opportunities (via customer feedback)
  • Champion partner programs changes that increase our impact

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of technical sales experience with an Associate’s degree or 3+ years with a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining broad and deep external partner relations with strategic partners
  • Passion for sales and technology and a consultative approach
  • Experience presenting to all levels of an organization with articulate communication skills
  • Responsible for setting expectations, negotiation and Interpersonal relationship skills
  • Possess robust organizational and analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to travel

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $130,000 to $190,000k annualized.

We also offer Enterprise benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, and paid time off. 

The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
