This role provides technical expertise on Accuris' AI-based software platforms (Engineering Workbench, Goldfire AI Search, Parts Intelligence, Haystack) to support pre-sales efforts and solution design.
The Sales Engineer will help expand accounts and secure new business by leveraging frameworks like MEDDPICC for discovery, scoping, and product demonstrations. You will work with engineers, researchers, and senior stakeholders to align Accuris' solutions with their technical needs in fields like PLM, CAD/CAM, and Requirements Management.
Key Responsibilities
The Strategic Accounts Sales Engineer will provide technical pre-sales support and solution selling expertise, working alongside the Strategic Account Executive to achieve shared revenue goals:

  • Technical Expertise & Solution Sales: Provide pre-sales technical support by conducting discovery workshops, demo applications, and feasibility assessments based on customer data, ensuring alignment between Accuris' offerings and customer needs.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead technical discussions with engineering teams and senior stakeholders (including C-level executives), ensuring that proposed solutions address core engineering and business pain points.
  • Collaboration with Account Executives: Partner with Strategic Account Executives to identify potential buyers, qualify leads, and create business proposals that speak to both technical and business personas.
  • RFP/RFI Management: Address technical and functional queries on RFPs/RFIs and collaborate on proposal development to align with customer requirements.
  • Industry Insights: Stay informed about industry trends and competitors, adjusting sales approaches to ensure competitive positioning of Accuris solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the Marketing, Account Management, Customer Success and Product teams to drive vertical-specific messaging, ensure smooth post-sales handoff, and provide feedback to refine product offerings.
  • Sales Enablement: Contribute to the sales process by delivering impactful product demos, proofs of concept (POCs), and proofs of value (POVs) to validate the solution's fit within the customer's workflow and organization.
  • Industry Participation: Participate in industry conferences, webinars, and write whitepapers to increase visibility and thought leadership within target verticals.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years in a Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering role, with a focus on providing solutions to engineering organizations.
  • Expertise in PLM platforms (such as PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systèmes) and related engineering solutions like CAD/CAM (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorx) and Requirements Management Systems (e.g., IBM Rational DOORS).
  • Experience working with AI, Data Science, Digital Twins, and IoT technologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with sales teams to drive large, complex sales cycles for deals exceeding $1M.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
